Kenyan celebrity couple Timothy Kimani, aka Njugush, and his wife Celestine Ndinda, normally known as ‘Wakavinye’, owned the weekend after taking over the entertainment space.
The duo had a sold-out event of their Through Thick and Thin 5 event that took place in Sarit, Nairobi County, witnessing an attendance of over 6,000 people and counting.
Doors opened at 4 p.m., with fans trickling in at the Sarit Expo Center for an evening of fun and laughter.
The organizers of the event went to great lengths to ensure its success, with free transport available from Nairobi CBD to the event’s venue. Between 2-4 p.m., as promised by Baba Tugi, aka Njugush, who had informed his fans that his newly launched super metro bus ‘Kabat’ would be making the rounds, picking up fans who will be attending the TTNT show courtesy of Shell.
The usual team crew, Abel Mutua, Judy Nyawira, Eddie Butita, and Director Phil, together with comedians YY, Sandra Dacha, Carol Sonnie, and Jackie Matubia, were among those who graced the star-studded event.
The on-stage chemistry between Njugush and Wakavinye was on point as they thrilled fans, keeping them reeling in laughter throughout the night.
As promised, a short glimpse of what happened inside Njugush’s Sold Out TTNT Show is that the level of creativity that Njugush displayed while telling his jokes was on another level. The father of two who is always calling out the government, putting them on toes, and holding them accountable for their actions didn’t disappoint by pulling a creative stunt clearly explaining how the President reshuffled the Cabinet Secretaries, something that left the crowd cracking their ribs and left them in awe, yearning for more and more.
“Ile pesa yote mulitoa kuingia hapa mutarudishiwa……nioneeee kwa mikonooooo……lakini kwa nini naongea uongo lakini…ama ni hii…” Njugush started off; this is actually something that can be better understood by watching it, and below is the video that will leave you on the floor:
