Many learnt about her after hit song Dunia Mbaya that was aimed at creating awareness on HIV/AIDS back in the 90’s and like I said, she was a star – who featured daring video vixens who wore crop tops and biker pants at a time African society was strict on female dress codes.
About two decades since the song was released – Princess Julie has finally rested coming to the end of her journey on earth. As revealed the singer had been battling with health issues that saw her in and out of hospital for about 9 weeks before she finally passed on.
According to reports, Princess Julie died while receiving treatment at Migori hospital where her body is also being kept at the morgue.

“Mamana (my mother) Princess Jully is no more. It’s unbearably hard for me.
This was a confirmation on the alleged story that had already been released to the media moments after her passing.
Julie will not only be remembered for hit song Dunia Mbaya but many other benga songs popularly known by Nyanza region fans.
She indeed highly contributed to the society through her music – and may continue to celebrate her.
