Imagine a blend of live jazz music, class and a good laugh? That is what Laughs and Jazz is bringing you this Friday, 25th November 2022, at the Kenyan Cinema from 5pm.

The ‘Touch of class’ themed event will be hosted by super comedian Eddie Butita alongside perfomances by YY comedian, Chipukeezy, Dr. Kingóri, Dough Mutai, Nasra and Ciku Waithaka. The cherry on top will be live jazz music by Rythmic Band, Kasmuel McOure and Magnificent Jazz Acts.

Laughs and Jazz is an event aimed at promoting cultural diversity through humour and music by putting together a collection of Kenya’s top comedians and Jazz acts. It’ll bring an experience that connects us with each other creating a nostalgic feeling that defines us.

During the event’s press conference, Butita revealed the choice for the venue saying it was particularly picked for your convenience because according to him it is so that the performers can be connected to you, “Us choosing Nairobi Cinema was going to be an advantage to everyone because we’ve wanted a comedy set up that we can be intimate in a good way with our audience and connect with them and they can enjoy the show.”

Adding that anyone who aspires to become a comedian, Laughs and Jazz is giving them a platform to do so, “Even on Friday we have 5 slots for new comedians. We feel like yes it’s a line up but why not give opportunity to new artists.” Why come to Laughs and Jazz someone asks, “I feel like we have an authentic lineup,” Butita boasted encouraging people to attend revealing he will be giving the details on his fallen relationship with Mammito so that’s something to look forward to.
