Morara Kebaso has been making headlines following his commitment to fight the current government which he says is corrupt and has been misusing public funds through fictitious or stalled projects.
His fight has however not been smooth seeing that the government is against him and now – Netizens also seem to be getting tired of his recent demands of asking for monetary help – hence the reason some have even branded him a serial borrower.
Well, this is after he asked Kenyans to contribute money to purchase equipment that would aid in his quest for a better Kenya.
Through a social media post, Kebaso said activists and other whistleblowers spend money to file cases in court and incur various operational costs.
“If you see Morara & INJECT Team in Laikipia injecting, it has cost money to get to that place. If you see Okiya Omtata filing a case in court, it costs money to do research, printing & filing fees. If you see a concert at Uhuru Park to remember fallen GenZ heroes, it has cost a lot of money to have the metallic stage, sound, lights & security. appealed to Kenyans of goodwill to help him purchase equipment that would aid in his quest for a better Kenya, adding;
“If you see Jimmy Wanjigi talking about Eurobond & odious debt, it has cost money to pay experts, researchers, videographers and espionage to purchase secret information. Anything you see that can bring change in Kenya has cost money, sweat and tears,” he went on to add on his detailed post.
Ghosts of the past
With this, Kenyans on X have resurfaced old tweets of Morara Kebaso from 2015 pulling a similar stunt – however at that time, Kebaso had allegedly been aiming at desparate students and graduates, promising them well paying jobs at a certain cost; a move that caught the attention of Boniface Mwangi – who then ended up calling him out for allegedly scamming people on social media.
As seen on the tweets, one can see the exchange between Kebaso and the people’s watchman following con accusations brought to his attention.
In his defense, Kebaso claimed to have been hacked by someone identified as Fred – adding that – he was also not responsible for any of the contacts issued out as paybill numbers – for those interested in securing jobs at pawa254.
However Kenyans on X remain unconvinced – with some claiming that he has perfected his art and with a new platform that favors him….Kenyans almost believed he ie genuine.
However we cannot confirm nor deny whether his intentions for the kenyan people are genuine or not.
