Set it is undeniably one of the biggest hits a Kenyan artist has ever released. You see, just like Millenials had the likes of E-sir who changed the music industry with songs like Moss Moss and Nameless Nasizia among anothers; Gen Z has the likes of Sean Mmg, Ajay, Spoiler and Dyna Cods who is currently running the airwaves with set it.
- Ajay demands 10% from set it – forgetting audio and visuals were recorded on credit.
- Dyana Cods sacrifice to have set it produced and video shot on time.
So far we understand that Arbantone has crossed boundaries – flying the Kenyan music so high than we ever expected.
However despite the success, these young artists are also facing a few set backs – which might likely pull down their careers…..same old, same old stunts we have seen in the music industry over the years.
‘Set it’ Hitmaker Dyana Cods reveals she is single and ready to mingle
I say this following the small disagreement between Dyna Cods and Ajay that has left song Set it pulled down from YT. Word has it that Ajay had been demanding 10% payment from Dyna Cods who is yet to deliever as agreed on their contract.
Speaking on this, Dyna Cods did not refute the claims – however as agreed with Ajay this was only to be done after paying off the producer behind the beat and video, seeing that it was done on credit.
The producer identified as Ares66 weighed in on Ajay’s stunt of pulling down down from YouTube saying the guy over reacted over payments…yet he (Ajay) had no idea what lengths Dyana Cods had gone to have the song produced.
If anything, he (Ares66) should have been complaining about payments seeing that the audio cost $2500 and visuals – $5000 which are yet to settled.
Well – like I mentioned earlier, the Kenyan music industry has potential however these same artists are the same people ruining it for each other.
With producers ready to work with them on credit…the best they can do is support each other to clear such debts in order to later enjoy their fruits of their labor even if it means 10%.
