Pastor Ng’ang’a Chases Away Man from Crusade for Distracting Service by Recording Him

Neno Evangelism founder, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, is once again making headlines after dramatically chasing away a man from his crusade for recording him on his phone. Known for his no-nonsense approach, the preacher explained that the man’s actions were a disruption to the service and ordered his immediate removal from the gathering.

  • The preacher emphasised the importance of focussing on the word of God.
  • The incident sparked reactions from netizens, with many expressing their opinions on social media.

Man chased away for Recording Pastor Ng’ang’a during sermon

During the crusade, the man stood among the congregation, phone in hand, capturing footage of Pastor Ng’ang’a as he passionately preached from the podium. Noticing the distraction, Ng’ang’a paused his sermon to address the man, expressing his displeasure over the focus on recording rather than engaging with the message being delivered.

You’ll be too focused on capturing me, not the message. I love you, but I won’t tolerate this behaviour. This is my crusade, and I’ve paid for the field. Get him out. Please leave,” Ng’ang’a stated, as seen in a video shared by Nairobi Gossip Club.

The preacher emphasised that the service was dedicated to worship and the word of God, and distractions like recording would only take away from the spiritual experience. With a firm tone, Ng’ang’a ordered the man to leave, making it clear that such disruptions would not be tolerated at his events.

Reactions from Netizens

Following the incident, the video quickly circulated on social media, sparking a wave of reactions from netizens. Some users found humour in Ng’ang’a’s straightforward handling of the situation, while others supported his decision to prioritize focus during the crusade.

One user, i_am_alex_martin, commented, “The guy recording is so unbothered,” while another, riot.nyovest, remarked, “Pastor Ng’ang’a forever, Papa.” Others, like _taji.__, expressed a desire to attend Ng’ang’a’s church, saying, “Hii kanisa is on my bucket list. I must attend hii mwaka ju huku ni comedy hukuwa.”

The incident highlights the ongoing debate about the appropriateness of recording religious services, with some churchgoers and leaders emphasising the importance of maintaining reverence during worship.

Ng’ang’a’s Previous Controversy

This is not the first time Pastor Ng’ang’a has found himself in the spotlight for his bold statements and actions. Previously, the outspoken preacher issued a stern message to critics of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Ng’ang’a warned residents of the Mt. Kenya region to keep their opposition to the Deputy President outside of his church, insisting that anyone against Gachagua should refrain from attending his services. The pastor has made it clear that he will continue to defend the church’s sanctity and maintain control over his crusades.

Ng’ang’a’s firm stance on discipline within his church has earned him both admirers and critics, but the preacher remains unapologetic about his methods. With this latest incident, Pastor Ng’ang’a reinforces his belief that worship should remain undistracted and fully focused on the word of God.
