Kairo’s success
Kairo became a prominent figure in the Kenyan automotive industry, after expanding his entrepreneurial horizons with the launch of Jetman Global. The company specializes in aircraft leasing, sales, and consultancy services, marking a significant milestone in Kairo’s career.
Kairo’s passion for aviation dates back to his childhood, when he was captivated by the allure of planes during school trips to Wilson Airport. Inspired by a Tanzanian musician’s music video featuring a romantic plane trip, Kairo’s dream of becoming involved in the aviation industry took flight.
Through extensive research and self-study, Kairo immersed himself in aviation knowledge. He spent countless hours at the community library in Kawangware, studying encyclopaedias on planes. His determination to pursue a career in aviation led him to consider becoming either a pilot or a lawyer.
Beyond personal ambitions, Kairo envisions fostering an aviation culture in Kenya. He aims to make aircraft ownership and leasing more accessible for group travels and family vacations. Kairo believes that there is a untapped community of aviation enthusiasts in Kenya that he can help cultivate.
While acknowledging the challenges of introducing planes to the Kenyan market, Kairo remains optimistic about the potential benefits of a burgeoning aviation industry. He believes that the industry could create opportunities for various sectors, such as mechanics and spare parts dealers.
Transitioning from the automotive to aviation sector required Kairo to acquire a basic understanding of the industry. He pursued a private pilot license from Flightstar in 2022 and plans to obtain a commercial pilot license in the future.
