In a candid conversation with our very own journalist Shiku Gitau, Steve opened up about a recurring experience that many people face: being judged based on appearance. He shared how others often assume he is part of the LGBTQ community simply because of his fashion choices.
“People assume because I do wear earrings and I am neat and cute, they assume huyu boyz venye ameiva ni gay.” Steve said.
He emphasized that fashion is an expression of individuality, not a declaration of sexual orientation.
“And I always tell people the only way a man can confirm a man is gay is him seleeping with… so it doesn’t make sense judging people based on their looks. Wewe mwenye unasema mimi ni sh***ga, how was it?.” Steve shared.
He explained further sharing incidents that that those hating on him have tried against him but all that has failed to work.
“People tried kunipiga na huyu chali hukula mabibi za watu haikuwork, huyu chali kwa hiyo spa yake hua anarecord watu wakiwa uchi because watu walielewa anarecording vixens, na models ndio advertise si clients, so now they started saying mimi ni sh***ga I don’t care men. People will always talk.” Steve said.

Why Steve Stopped Massaging men
Steve said the reason he stopped massaging men was because he realized that some men wanted more than just a body massage.
“Nikianza huko 2018 I was masaaging men… I was very naive when I started this career; it reached a point: Nikarealize hizi majamaa si massage tuh zinadai, so mimi nikaishia.” Steve disclosed.
Adding that it is the very reason why he has a lady who handles men because he doesn’t want to be in a scenario where men can feel like they can persuade him otherwise.
“That’s why I have a lady who can take care of men and women who are not comfortable being massaged by me.”
Steve also revealed that some spa’s in Kilimani, Kileleshwa, and Westlands are not entirely professional, claiming that they offer ‘extra services’ that are not massages, adding that it is these very companies that tried defaming him by saying that he was offering the ‘extra services’ as well because they felt threatened and couldn’t understand why he was always getting clients and he wasn’t offering the ‘Extra services’ they were giving.
Nonetheless, that worked to his advantage as what that did is it helped market his business and thanks to them haters that he described as a ‘Blessing in disguise’ his brand has grown he has several social media handles that he claimed are doing good and brining in business something that he never thought he could pull off.
He lastly encouraged the public to be numb to those criticizing them and use their hate to capitalize what they are doing.
