Ajib Gathoni speaks on how she managed to raise Ksh 210,000 on TikTok

TikToker and brand influencer Ajib Gathoni has opened up on how she was able to raise a huge stake via the TikTok app.

Speaking via the Mic Cheque Podcast, Ajib revealed the highest amount she has ever made from TikTok was 210,000 ksh.

According to Ajib, this was made possible after she took part in a certain TikTok game and having mastered in it, she won against her potential opponent.

She however revealed that the money bit was only made by possible by fans and the public who sent gifts to both her and the opponent player.

“In 2022, I did my first ever live on my birthday. Game moja ni 4 minutes or 3 minutes ndio u giftiwe you play a game between your gifters and their gifters. My first was in 2022; in a span of 3 minutes, I got 210,000 ksh, I swear to God.” Ajib diclosed.

However, Ajib now claims to have stopped playing the game as it was exhausting not forgetting humiliating as one has to keep pleading with people to send gifts.

“Sometimes it gets exhausting, inakaa ni kama you are begging for money; you basically are…you have to keep it entertaining…so you are literally begging for money.” Ajib said.

A while back Comedian Smart Joker confirmed that those using the TikTok app are beggars seeing what they had to do in order to get money.

Number one, for your TikTok to be recommended for many people, you need to beg people to like comment on your profile; you must beg a viewer to like comment so that your live can be recommended to as many people as possible.

Secondly, you ask for gifts. It is actually begging because, if you’re one relying on TikTok, you won’t eat if you don’t beg from people.” Smart Joker revealed.

How People earn Via TikTok

The most successful TikTok users make money through a combination of revenue streams that can include sponsorships, fundraising drives, product sales, and accepting tips.

TikTok users can also promote products through an affiliate link to get paid directly from brands.

TikTok is also a huge boost for artists, as it gives content creators a platform to show off their art and talents through short videos.

On a random day you’d scroll TikTok and rarely will you miss seeing videos and skits made by content creators – which clearly tells you that it is playing an important role of not just by advertising creative’s work but also entertaining and educating its users.
