Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has finally heeded to fans’ advice of indulging into content creation as a comedian.
The comedian recently took to his Instagram to thank Oga Obinna for helping him open the YouTube channel.
”Karibuni kwa my 2nd youtube channel, subscribe kupata burudani kemkem, ahsanteni @ogaobinna , mama county and @machabe01 for the support,” Stevo wrote.

Oga Obinna was among the first people to admonish Stevo to embark on comedy. Known for his unique & funny slangs, Stevo would do well even as a comedian.
Obinna decided to help him despite Simple Boy publicly accusing him of attempting to exploit him. The dispute arose after Obinna suggested that Stevo create a YouTube channel to expand his reach.
The conflict began during an interview on Obinna’s show. While Obinna intended the advice as helpful, Stevo interpreted it as a ploy to benefit Obinna’s media platforms. Stevo responded passionately, accusing Obinna of clout chasing and attempting to manipulate him.
Stivo emphasized his independence and rejected Obinna’s suggestions. He stated that he has his own empire and does not need Obinna’s help. The disagreement highlights the complex dynamics within the Kenyan entertainment industry and the potential for conflicts between artists and industry figures.
However, it seems like they settled their predicaments as Obinna urged support of Stevo’s new YouTube channel.
Stevo has already garnered 287 subscribers on his new YouTube channel. How do you think he will perform in his new venture?
