Kenyan lawyer Morara Kebaso has publicly asked his supporters for financial assistance to fuel his political aspirations. Moreover, he confidently assured them that he will use their contributions effectively.
Morara emphasized that the support will empower him to remain independent and unbought by the political elite. “If you’re sending something, send it and wait for the results—you’ll see the fruits of your labor,” Kebaso stated, underscoring his commitment to transparency and responsibility. He further urged his followers to trust him completely in his mission to bring change.

A Heated Debate on Eligibility
Kebaso’s plea, however, didn’t go unanswered without criticism. One individual, Nichol Charles, accused him of being a scammer, arguing that the 28-year-old lawyer would not be eligible to run for the presidency in 2027 due to the age limit, which Charles claimed is 35 years.
However, Kebaso’ swiftly dismissed the allegation, explaining that the current constitution no longer has such an age limit for presidential candidates. He used this as a teaching moment, highlighting the need for the constitution to be translated into local languages for better understanding among citizens.
“Nichol Charles, the previous constitution had an age limit. The new constitution only requires you to be an adult of sound mind. This is the reason I want the constitution to be translated into all local languages. To help people like you understand it better.” Kabeso responded.
A Push for Trust Amid Concerns
Kebaso addressed concerns over accountability, acknowledging that while some people might be seeking more transparency about his expenditures, sharing every detail would pose security risks. “For now, just trust me. I’m busy trying to be a dependable leader,” he urged.
He also asked his supporters to help counter the negative narratives pushed by pro-corruption bloggers, expressing his determination to stay focused on his goals.
Despite the backlash, Kebaso remains undeterred, actively working to rally public support, with his MPESA number 0708985611 ready for those willing to contribute to his journey.
