Gengetone Rapper Maddox has finally responded to Oga Obinna’s request to cater for his treatment.
Speaking to an online media channel, Maddox said that he is not addicted to any form of alcohol and doesn’t need rehab or anything of the sort.
“Mimi Naeza Ambia Oga Obinna, as you can see, I am not addicted. Niko sawa. I do not need anything that nafaa kuenda rehab or anything, maybe drugs ndio zilikua zinanitumia lakini mimi sipendi kuzitumia.” Maddox said.
He also confirmed that he is not into drugs and has stopped drinking or abusing drugs, saying that the reason he confided in drugs was because he was stressed about the fact that he used to work with artists and not get paid. In order to drown his sorrows, he would resort to using a little of them so that he could distract himself from reality.
“Saa hii nimeachana na drugs, kabisa hata hizo pombe sitaki, labda nikue amabassador wa maji na soda. Mimi ukiniona kwa streets si kwa sababu nilikua addicted ni kwa sababu pesa yangu sikua naipata naenda studio, tunatoa ngoma, Exray Analipwa mimi silipwi, nilikua nachizi nashangaa manze rada!” Maddox confessed.
Oga Obinna had publicly appealed for assistance in locating Maddox, a musician who looked to be struggling with drug addiction. The popular radio host expressed concern for Maddox’s well-being and shared his desire to help the young man enter rehab.
Maddox has, however, declined Obinna’s offer, confirming that he is well and doesn’t need to go to rehab.
Obinna’s response
Obinna, who has been following closely, reacted back, wishing him all the best, however, the public and a few individuals still feel like Maddox needs help despite him stating otherwise.
