Jimmy Wanjigi explains his decision to stay hidden despite witnessing the police harassing his family

Published on

Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has explained why he chose to remain hidden in his bunker despite watching the whole flow of events when policemen came into his home and made away with some valuables.

Jimmy, who was speaking to the press, opened up, saying his reason to do so is backed by enough facts, one of which is that the current Kenyan President William Ruto’s regime wanted to kill him because they are saying he has grenades, something that he refused he doesn’t have and denied being associated with as all he has ever done is help those who were in need.

He refused to disclose the exact place he was hiding, saying all he’d reveal was that he was somewhere in his home where he could see everything that was happening. Political strategist Jimmy Wanjigi made the strategic decision to remain hidden in his bunker during the police raid. Despite the intensity of the situation, believing that staying out of sight was the safest course of action.

Wanjigi explained further that his decision to remain hidden was also backed by his family, who advised him to stay out of sight because he was more valuable than they were.

“My grandmother was in that home; they were very strong and resilient to that pressure, and I can tell you, even if they wanted me to stand up, they were saying Nooo, If these people catch you, they will kill you; they won’t kill us; they may threaten us, they may take us in, but it would be too much for them to kill us.” Jimmy explained.
