Kenyan comedian MC Jessy has openly shared the reason why he rarely talks about his love life, leave alone showing it to the public.

We caught up with him and had a brief interview with him at the Carnivore Grounds, where he said that the reason he refuses to respond to anything related to his personal private life is because he is actually the only person who chose to be in the limelight and not his kids, wife, or girlfriend, which is why he always refuses to respond to anything related to it.

“This is how I’ll answer whether I am married, whether I have kids, family, and all that. I am the one who chose to be in the limelight.

My kids didn’t, my girlfriend didn’t, my mother and my wife didn’t, and my whoever, so anything that concerns any other person apart from MC Jessy, I need to seek consent.” McJessy shared.

He explained further that he likes it to remain that way because when people knew MC Jessy, they knew him as a brand and what he does, not who he is surrounded with, and he wouldn’t want to tie his success to his personal life, which can change anytime.

“Mimi, I started comedy nikiwa tuh peke yangu, no dating, no nothing. I don’t like putting my personal life out there because that is not what people want to see. I am actually trying to avoid scenarios whereby my personal life is out there, so any other person, until they make their decision mimi siwezi wa mention.” McJessy said.
