Kenyan businessman and Safina Party leader Jimmy Wanjigi has addressed claims that he has been funding the ongoing 2024 anti-finance bill protests.
Speaking during an interview with YouTuber Lynne Ngugi, Jimmy Wanjigi gladly confessed that he has been doing so, and anyone who has a problem with it should come talk to him in the face.
He explains further that it is something he has been doing because those protesting need to be taken care of by supporting them with a few things to keep them going. According to him, he sees nothing wrong with funding Generation Z.
“There’s nothing I have not been through…aty.. William Ruto arrests me for funding Gen Z’s? Aje kama jana, that is nonsense. I can fund it; I have been funding it when it began. I gave money to those who were being arrested, and I was very public about it.
Many people are funding and donating, even water, toothpaste for teargas. I know people who have donated blood. I was even going to donate and was told I was too old to give blood, kwani is it illegal?” Jimmy Wanjigi shared posing a question at the end.
