Munyi, an influencer, award winner, launched Wild By Murugi with a keen entrepreneurial spirit and an initial investment of approximately Sh2 million. The venture quickly garnered attention from her extensive social media following, leading to its expansion to a larger location at Green House Mall along Ngong’ Road.

Munyi also acknowledged that her staff had noticed her growing detachment from the business, and the announcement to close did not catch them by surprise.

She has committed to assisting her employees in finding new job opportunities, highlighting that many business owners often commend her for having recruited exceptionally skilled staff. She also expresses confidence that her team members will secure new positions given their strong professional reputations.

In a heartfelt statement, Munyi shared, “When I started Wild By Murugi, I was driven by a strong passion and had the time to dedicate to the business. The support from my followers was overwhelming, and the success of the venture surpassed my expectations.”

Despite the early success, Munyi revealed that her enthusiasm for the business has diminished over the past two years. “My priorities and interests have evolved, and I believe it’s time to shift my focus. It’s a difficult decision, but one that aligns with where I am in life right now.”

The closure of Wild by Murugi marks the end of a significant chapter for Munyi, who has been a prominent figure in Kenya’s fashion and social media scenes. The decision reflects a broader trend among influencers and entrepreneurs who pivot to new ventures or personal pursuits.

As Munyi prepares for the next phase of her career, fans and industry observers are eagerly awaiting her future projects.
