Former socialite Vanessa Chettle has candidly opened up about her tumultuous life, revealing a harrowing tale of addiction, family estrangement, homelessness, and the tragic loss of her infant child.
In a recent interview, Chettle admitted that sharing her story has provided immense relief, significantly improving her mental health. The disclosure has sparked a wave of support, including from concerned family members.
However, the interview also led to some misunderstandings. Chettle clarified that her comments about feeling neglected by her mother referred to her maternal figure, not her biological mother who passed away when she was young. She expressed remorse for any hurt caused by this miscommunication.
Tensions flared when Chettle publicly refuted her sister’s claims of neglect and abuse towards her children. She vehemently denied these allegations, insisting on her children’s well-being during their time in her care.
Despite the challenges, Chettle remains determined to rebuild her life. She emphasized that her intention in sharing her story was not to seek pity but to break free from the silence that had been consuming her. With a renewed sense of hope, she aspires to reconcile with her children and be a part of their lives once again.
Currently, Chettle’s eldest child resides with their aunt in Nakuru, while the younger child is in the care of their father.
