Diamond Platnumz was recently trending following a viral video where he was conversing with American pop star Jason Derulo about his trip to the US and what time he had landed with his team.
Being one who is known for his ‘poor English’ Diamond Platnumz was heard saying he had arrived around 2nd in the morning – instead of 2AM in the morning.
This set off a section of Kenyans on social media who left hilariously trolls laughing off at the singer as many wondered why Diamond Platnumz has never had any interest to learn the international language despite all the money he has.

With the trolls getting out of hand on social media, a few Tanzanians have now come forth to defend their own from the mockery.
Among them was producer master Jay who called out the few Kenyans reminding them that English is not everything when a person is comfortable with their own language.
He pointed out that bragging about English is similar to celebrating colonialism that was brought by Europeans to East Africa; robbing us of our culture and pride in our native languages.
Unajua wakenya nao ni washamba. The minute you say ‘we know our colonizers language better than you, huo ni ushamba, said Master Jay.
Master Jay went on to add that this also proved these Kenyans are village minded washamba for thinking a person’s ability to speak good English is an achievement in life.
