Requirements you must meet in order to join super metro fleet company as a matatu owner

If you are a business person looking for a matatu Sacco that you want to join and explore the journey of matatu business, then look no further and consider settling with Super Metro Sacco since this matatu has won the hearts of many Kenyans who would rather stay out till dark awaiting in line for them to come and pick them up rather than going for others that are even charging way less than Super Metro. This is because Super Metro is very disciplined and reliable.

Venturing into the matatu business can be a lucrative and rewarding endeavor, especially in regions where these minibuses are a popular mode of public transportation. However, it requires careful planning, a good understanding of the market, and adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.

Below is a list of requirements that you will need to meet in order to be part of the Super Metro company, according to sources shared online:

For a start, you will need to pay 5,000 ksh for Sacco registration. Should you be self-financing, then you will be required to pay 50,000 ksh as the entrance fee, and should it happen that you are being facilitated by Sacco, then it will cost you 100,000 ksh.

To buy an Isuzu Matatu, you will need roughly cost you 2 million Ksh to 5 million Ksh

Once the application is successful, a repayment plan of 48 months with monthly installments is issued that will cost roughly 121,000 ksh and must be repaid by the 30th of every month through the bus account.

An investor will also pay a processing fee of 1%, which is equivalent to Ksh 65,200, a debenture fee of Ksh 20,000, and comprehensive insurance that costs Ksh 55,000.

Other requirements are third-party insurance, a tracking device, and TLB, which will cost Ksh 15,000, Ksh 25,000, and Ksh 4,500, respectively.

Investors will also pay a monthly seasonal fee of Ksh 13,880 for three counties: Nairobi, Kajiado, and Machakos, it is basically where Super Metro operates.

Lastly, hire qualified and experienced drivers and conductors. It’s crucial to select individuals who are not only skilled in driving but also possess good customer service skills. Provide training on safety, customer service, and the use of any onboard technology, such as cashless payment systems.
