Tanzanian gospel musician Christina Shusho experienced an emotional milestone recently as her firstborn daughter, Odesia, tied the knot.
The celebrated artist couldn’t hold back her tears as she watched her daughter take this significant step in life.
Christina Shusho shared a photo of her daughter on social media, expressing her immense pride in the joyous milestone her daughter had embarked upon.
“They grow up so fast. My firstborn daughter got married last Sunday to God be the glorly.”

A Blessing from Above
In her heartfelt message, the Shusha Nyavu hitmaker thanked God for guiding her daughter and blessing her with MC Willy as her life partner.
The mother of three revealed that Odesia got married in an exclusive private ceremony. From this day forward, the gospel musician proudly embraces the title ‘Mama Mkwe,’ which means mother-in-law in Swahili.
“My firstborn got married in an exclusive private ceremony. From today, call me Mama Mkwe.”
The gospel singer’s fans also joined in celebrating this special moment, showering the newlyweds with love and good wishes.

She is the daughter of gospel singer Christina Shusho and her ex-husband John. As the firstborn, she has two younger siblings, Hope and George Shusho.
Odesia graduated from Dar Es Salaam University and currently works at Saccoh Academy. She was later engaged in May.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Odesia has also ventured into the gospel music scene. To date, she has released three songs: ‘Kaa Nami,’ ‘Nangoja’ featuring Benjamin Weston, and ‘Wewe Ni Mkuu.’
Her passion for music and dedication to her faith echo the values her mother, Christina Shusho, has instilled in her.
Christina Shusho explains departure from matrimonial home
Christina Shusho opened up about her decision to leave her husband, stating it was driven by a divine assignment revealed to her in a dream.
“For me, let me speak from the heart. I ask those following me to believe that this is who I am. I have never been fake, and I don’t lie. The truth is, it’s just an assignment. There is nothing different other than that. The assignment God has given me this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to go fulfill the assignment,” she explained.
Despite the gravity of her decision, Shusho emphasized that the separation process was conducted amicably. She approached her husband respectfully, asking for his support as she pursued her spiritual journey.
“I told him to allow me to carry my burden as I usually do. Let me carry my load, and you continue with your service. There was no problem at all,” she stated, highlighting the mutual understanding between them. shusho stated.
