Akothee has never been one to shy off from sharing her past stories from back when she was growing up in poverty till the time she got pregnant as a teenager.
In most of her stories she highlights the tough life she went through, that is growing up with strict parents to struggling with school and much more information surrounding her up bringing in the village.
Well, in a new post Akothee for the first time opened up to reveal why she became a ran away teenager at 13 years.
According to Akothee, things back then were different – in that, older siblings had the right to punish or beat up their younger siblings; something Akothee says got out of hand with her big brothers who would often beat her up until she finally had enough.
I left home at the age of 13, running away from my brothers beatings and that is how I landed pregnancy. Akothee wrote.
Advice to Gen Z
Her confession comes at a time when many, including herself feel that Gen Z have been getting away with a lot of tantrums…. something millennials cannot relate with.
On the same post, Akothee explained that although millennials having been showing massive support to Gen Z, everyone ought to remember that this generation of kids cannot be as carefree as Gen Z considering that most millennials are still traumatized from growing up with strict Gen X parents.
Millennials are carrying childhood traumas from GenX and thats how some of us got married at an early age. She went on adding;
Home was a small jail.
For this reason she urged Gen Z to extend some grace to millennials who have lately been maintaining a low profile with the maandamano. According to her most are afraid of the police and would rather suffer under the govt than get arrested during protests.
