NARC-Kenya Party leader Martha Karua recently made an announcement that left fans flabbergasted.
It was quite a big deal in the political scene, bearing in mind Martha Karua has been collaborating well with Azimio’s Raila Odinga.
Martha’s announcement
Martha Karua shared a notice to dis-associate herself with Azimio la Umoja party, citjng the current political developments.
In the notice, Karua stated,
“Kindly take note that our stay in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition is not tenable due to the prevailing political developments.”
In the latest political development, Raila’s allies including ODM Deputy Party leaders Hassan Ali Joho (Ministry of Mining) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Ministry of Cooperatives) were nominated to key cabinet positions.
ODM Chairman John Mbadi (Treasury) and National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi (Ministry of Energy) were also nominated as well.

Martha Karua’s statement roped in mixed reactions from netizens. Some believe that it’s not enough to detach herself from the party, while others saw it as a shrewd move.
