Kipchumba Murkomen recently bagged a new cabinet role just days after being sacked as Transport CS.
The former Transport CS took to his X to thank President William Ruto for nominating him as the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports CS.
“Honoured and grateful to have been nominated by H.E. President William Ruto as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports,” he started off.
He further pledged to serve the country well after 2 weeks of meditation.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for this incredible opportunity to serve our great nation, Kenya. The last two weeks have been moments of deep reflection. Subject to my approval by Parliament, I pledge to serve the people of Kenya diligently, with great humility and unwavering accountability. Thank you very much. God bless you and God bless Kenya,” he added.

Murkomen’s apology
Murkomen was among the members of parliament who were never tardy in showing opulence. For the latter reason, a section of netizens believed the cabinet secretaries were receiving too much.
After facing criticism on the same, Murkomen issued an apology;
“I would like to unreservedly apologise to every Kenyan who I may have offended through my words, my deeds and my conduct, including my lifestyle, in the last two years of my public service,” he said.

Kenyans on X did not hesitate to share their thoughts on Murkomen’s apology. Most of them were still disenchanted with him.
