Murkomen and Joho among the Nominees who have been appointed as Cabinet secretaries

Earlier today, President Wiliam Ruto has announced another new roll out of Cabinet secretaries.

Speaking from State House, President William Ruto retained Alfred Mutua and Kipchumba Murkomen despite giving them different roles.

Below is the full list that he has released:

John Mbadi – Treasury

Rebecca Miano-Tourism

Salim Mvurya – Trade and Industry

James Opiyo- Energy

Kipchumba Murkomen-Youth and sports

Hassan Joho- Mining and blue economy

Alfred Mutua-Labour and social Protection

Wycliffe Oparannya-SMEs Muturi-Public service Soi Langat-Gender and arts

Justin Muturi – Public Service 

Stella Lang’at – Gender

Opiyo Wandayi – Energy and Petroleum

He concluded by saying that he will be realeasing another list shortly.

On Friday last week, the President named the first batch of nominees, including the Attorney General nominee.

Below are the Cabinet Secretaries nominated by the President:

  1. Ministry of the Interior and National Administration, Prof. Kithure Kindiki
  2. Ministry of Health: Dr. Debra Mulonga Barasa
  3. Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, Alice Wahome
  4. Ministry of Education: Julius Migosi Ogamba
  5. Ministry of Defense: Aden Barre Duale
  6. Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Andrew Mwihia Karanja
  7. Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, Roselinda Soipan Tuiya
  8. Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation: Eric Muriithi Muuga
  9. Ministry of Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir
  10. Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u
  11. Attorney-General: Rebecca Miano
