The recent anti-government protests have been more pronounced in the recent weeks, with the narrative being ‘Ruto Must Go’. The genesis of the protests was the finance bill; which most people were rejecting upon the proposal of the president.
In the same protests, alleged goons were infiltrating the demos and causing complete annihilation to property.
The president recently shared a speech that called out Ford Foundation for being among the authorities that have sponsored the goons. He further inquired what benefit were they eyeing while promoting violence.
“Nataka niulize watu wa Ford Foundation watuambie hio pesa wanatoa, wanatoa ifanye fujo ndio wapate faida gani?” Ruto posed.

Financier exposed
Most Kenyans took to their socials to call out anyone who was involved in hiring goons who infiltrated their peaceful demos.
A recent exposé done by KTN exposes the alleged sponsor of the protests. A video shows a black car driving in tandem with a couple of ‘boda bodas’ as they are handed notes, meant to fuel their motorbikes.
The search for the owner of the car lead the team to former MCA monikered Mark Ndung’u Ng’ang’a.
