Pastor Victor Kanyari of Nairobi’s Salvation Healing Ministry recently sparked controversy with his claims of being the sole pastor in Kenya divinely authorized to heal HIV through prayer.
In a widely circulated social media video, Kanyari assures his congregation of his unique ability to completely eliminate HIV solely through prayer. However, he adds a caveat, stating that healing is ultimately at God’s discretion.
Medical professionals and the public have widely disputed these claims. There is no known scientific cure for HIV, and current treatments focus on managing the virus, not eliminating it. Critics point out the lack of documented cases of HIV being cured through prayer, citing only biblical examples.
