Former United States of America President Barrack Obama has issued a statement following President Joe Biden’s decision to step down from the presidential race.
The United States of America’s President, whose real name is Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., has been the 46th and current president of the United States since 2021, He previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under President Barack Obama and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009, which is why Obama says he knows what he is capable of, having worked closely with him.
Former U.S. President Barrack Obama started by acknowledging the United States’ President Biden, saying that he is one of the most consequential presidents who has done quite a number of good things for the country.

“Since taking office, President Biden has displayed that character again and again. He helped end the pandemic, created millions of jobs, lowered the cost of prescription drugs, passed the first major piece of gun safety legislation in 30 years, made the biggest investment to address climate change in history, and fought to ensure the rights of working people to organize for fair wages and benefits. Internationally, he restored America’s standing in the world, revitalized NATO, and mobilized the world to stand up against Russian aggression in Ukraine.” Part of Barack Obama’s statement read:
He further explained, pointing out instances in which Joe has outdone himself and sacrificed a lot for the country, still on the same path.acknowledging his decision to pass the torch to his nominee, having been in power before, admitting that it is no easy decision to make. Nonetheless, he wished the nominee all the best, as well as Joe Biden, concluding by assuring him that he and his wife are deeply grateful for leading them and the country at large in a rightful manner.
“Joe understands better than anyone the stakes in this election—how everything he has fought for throughout his life and everything that the Democratic Party stands for will be at risk if we allow Donald Trump back in the White House and give Republicans control of Congress.
I also know Joe has never backed down from a fight. For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he should pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest times of his life. But I know he wouldn’t make this decision unless he believed it was right for America. It’s a testament to Joe Biden’s love of country and a historic example of a genuine public servant once again putting the interests of the American people ahead of his own, which future generations of leaders will do well to follow.
