Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is known for his bubbly & original character. His innocous love for the Gen Z’s and artists is quite conspicuous.
Musician Bahati has been a close friend of the deputy president. His reality series launch was a star-studded affair, attended by Riggy G, Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor (Jalang’o), nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, and a host of celebrities from the entertainment industry.
For the latter reason, Bahati has become one of Riggy G’s favourites. Bahati recently divulged that people nowadays refer to him as Rigathi’s son.

Riggy G attends Bahati’s launch
Bahati’s reality series marked a significant milestone for Kenyan television, as Bahati and Diana are the first Kenyan couple to have a reality show on the popular streaming service. The announcement came after the couple teased fans with cryptic messages on social media, later revealing the trailer featuring appearances by The Murayas, Karen Nyamu, Jalang’o, and Rev Lucy Natasha.
Bahati expressed his excitement on social media, highlighting their journey from their first reality show, “Being Bahati,” on Kenyan national television (NTV) to this historic Netflix venture.
“The King and Queen of reality are back!” Bahati declared, promising fans an unfiltered look into their lives, “with all the dirty, clean, sad and happy moments.” He confidently asserted that “The Bahati Empire” is the best reality show Kenya has ever seen.
The attendance of Riggy G made Bahati’s launch quite significant as it was the first time a deputy president ever attended such a launch.
