‘Musalimie’ is the new word in town as well as the trend that has been going around where the public, with the majority being Gen Z’s call in a particular individual, thus a leader who has been declared incompetent and his or her number shared online faces numerous phone calls and text messages from the public who then remind him or her what he is supposed to be doing, It is basically calling them out. It can be easy and crazy at the same time.
Edwin Sifuna happens to be among those leaders whose phone numbers were leaked despite his not siding with the 2024 Finance Bill.
Speaking during the Mic Cheque podcast, Edwin Sifuna confessed that there are bad guys out here trying to defame prolific public figures who have worked hard to build themselves.
The Nairobi Senator, who was forced to share what one girl sent him, said that it was a message that he really never expected to get.
“Wacha niwasomee moja, watu wameharibika bana, kuna dem anaitwa Ivy, mimi namwanika tuh leo… zile vitu watu wananiambia hapa kwa inbox… Hi, my name is Ivy Nimskia, and you have been chewing on girls like nobody’s business. My only concern is where I can get the form so that I can sign up to volunteer.” Sifuna read the message out loud.

Edwin Sifuna’s message to Ivy
Edwin Sifuna addressed those who leaked his number, saying all they did was build him and not the other way around as they thought. However, addressing Ivy’s issue, he told her that there’s a long line, and she will need to fall in line and await her moment.
“Wale walikua wanashare number yangu wanadhani wananiumiza…mnanijenga mbaya… Ile kitu naeza ambia Ivy, line ni mrefu lakini inasonga.” Edwin Sifuna said.
