Kenyan artist Maandy has shared the reason why she doesn’t see herself having kids any time soon.
Speaking during an interview with Obinna, she opened up, saying that the reason is because she sees parenting as a tedious process. Adding on to that is that she doesn’t think she can handle the pain of bearing a child, leave alone the whole birth process, not including the rearing part of it all.
“Sitaki Watoto…Hivo tuh, napenda freedom yangu na hiyo ni ukweli ni kazi mingi na sijiskii na hiyo kazi. Also, na hiyo process ya kuwapata. Yuck!!!!!” Maandy said.
She goes on to explain that having a baby will mean her body takes on a different form, and that is something that she is not really ready for.
“I love my body so much. I love the way it is right now, tight and right, and I don’t want to change it.” Maandy said.
According to her, having a baby limits one’s freedom because you will always be glued to taking care of them the entire time, having very little time for yourself.
