Kenyan comedian Mulamwah, known for his funny videos and charitable acts, recently had his TikTok account suspended. The account boasted a massive following of 1 million fans.

The reason for the suspension remains a mystery, as TikTok hasn’t publicly disclosed it. Mulamwah, a father of two, has already created a new account and urged his fans to follow him there. The new account has garnered over 1,000 followers so far.

This unexpected event has sparked discussions among Mulamwah’s supporters and the Kenyan public about social media plicies and how content moderation is handled on these platforms.

Mulamwah’s Connection to Gen Z Protests

Mulamwah had become particularly popular with the Gen Z generation due to his vocal support for their recent protests. He even won over many with his act of generosity by providing snacks for the protestors. This makes his account suspension all the more surprising and disappointing for his fans.

Possible Reasons for the Ban

While the exact reason for the suspension is unknown, there are several common violations that could lead to a TikTok account being banned. The most common ones include violations of the community guidelines & sharing graphic content without appropriate warnings or disclaimers, such as posting disfigured dead bodies.

Mulamwah took to his Instagram to react to banning of his account.

”Bora equity account iko sawa,” he wrote.
