Mugithi singer and police officer Samidoh Muchoki recently graduated with his first degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). His wife, Edday Nderitu, took to social media to shower him with praise for his accomplishment.

Edday shared the couple’s journey, revealing that Samidoh decided to pursue his degree after the birth of their second child. It took him seven years to juggle his studies with his responsibilities as a husband, father, musician, and law enforcement officer.

“Your perseverance and dedication have borne fruit,” Edday wrote. “I am forever inspired by your commitment and true spirit.” She commended him for actively participating in household chores and childcare while managing his studies.

Samidoh also shared his story on social media. He paid tribute to his late mother, who despite their limited resources, sold a portion of their land to ensure he could attend secondary school. He expressed his pride in buying back the land and achieving his educational goals.

This graduation marks a new chapter for Samidoh, who sees it as the “first stair” in his educational journey. Edday’s supportive message suggests a possible thawing in their relationship, as she currently resides in the United States.
