Evans Kiratu a 21 year old an anti finance bill 2024 protestor met his untimely death about a week ago after he was allegedly shot at with a tear gas canister that claimed his life immediately.
His demise and that of Rex brought about anger to fellow Kenyans who on 25th June marched their way to parliament – a move that once again claimed the lives of about 13 youths.
While Kenyans continue to rally against the bill and fight for the fallen Kenyans – Evans Kiratu’s mum could not hold herself together as emotions run high at the city mortuary where she went to pick her 21 year old’s body.
RIP Evans Kiratu
As seen on the viral emotional video circulating online, Evans mum at some point is heard asking her dead son why he chose to leave her so soon.
The video full of emotions has also left netizens asking for justice while pointing fingers at Ruto who they blame for the police brutality witnessed across the country in just a week.
Speaking about this, Ruto however blamed ‘certain organized groups’ for the killings, promising to have families of the fallen soldiers compensated.
However question is, can money replace 21 years of watching your child grow? Not even close.
