Every couple experiences love and marriage in their own unique way. Similarly, the experience of falling out of love is unique, too. Couples decide to divorce for many reasons.
However, below are some of the reasons that make couples part ways.
1. Financial Problems
This is actually the obvious reason because you can’t meet your partner’s basic needs. It is even worse if she is unemployed and entirely depends on you for everything. Also, having a partner who overextends the budget may cause stress in a marriage.
2. Lack of intimacy
Physical and emotional intimacy play a vital role in a happy and healthy marriage. And while it’s impossible to keep up the honeymoon phase, that doesn’t mean that intimacy should disappear.
Being present in your partner’s life is very important.
3. Domestic Violence
Honestly, nobody wants to be in an abusive marriage. If there’s anything that triggers the end of a relationship, it’s violence, and it isn’t only about physical assault. Common signs of an abusive relationship include persistent blaming, intimidation, manipulation, and/or social isolation.
4. Ignorance
Some couples tend to be ignorant of things that they are actually not supposed to, especially if one has done something wrong, and you think it is a nice idea not to own your mistakes and apologize.
It also applies to ignoring red flags that you have spotted in your relationship or marriage. What ignoring does is propel whatever is going behind curtains, and the person who suffers at the end is you, as it costs your relationship or marriage.
5. Physical Appearance
Drifting apart due to changes in each other’s physical appearance may sound shallow and unfair. But it’s sadly a real reason why some marriages end.
Even though they say love is blind, you can’t walk around looking the way you see fit. Remember, looking bad is a turn-off to others unless you really have a very resilient, ignorant partner, which is hard to find. I mean, who doesn’t like their partner looking good?

6. Substance abuse and addiction
Y’all know this one addiction is a very bad thing, especially when it comes to drug abuse and alcoholism. You know the effects of drinking, as it can not only create an unstable environment, but you could easily lose everything, as it could lead to financial and psychological problems.
7. Communication breakdown
Remember, communication is one of the most important things in any kind of relationship or marriage setup; if there’s no constant communication, then it is good as dead.
Couples who don’t communicate well are unable to solve issues together and tend to create more misunderstandings that eventually kill love, intimacy, and respect in your relationship.
