Although both the president and vice president spoke on 26th June addressing the peoples cry on Finance Bill 2024 – which they now claim will not be signed – seems like the people are still not fully convinced on the many empty promises.

However some like Khalif Kairo and Hanifa seem to have adhered to the vice presidents request of not conducting protests; a move that Cyprian Nyakundi claims was heavily sponsored as the two were bought by the govt.

His claims come at a time many of the GenZ remain confused as to whether or not to go on the streets as planned earlier for the 1 million march aimed at mourning the lost lives – taken away by police brutality.

Activists silence

In two we have however lost voices of vocal activists on social media who had been mobilizing the youth on the demos – leaving many questioning what could have happened after their abductions in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

So far the likes of Boniface Mwangi continue to mobilize the youth to step out and up for Thursday’s protests as planned; adding that this is a reminder to those in power that the people make the decisions, not the other way round.
