Kenyan President William Ruto has assured the country that he will make sure that the 6 Kenyans who passed on while protesting peacefully will be compensated.
Speaking while addressing the nation today at State House, Ruto said that he is aware of what happened as he termed it as an unfortunate incident that was not supposed to happen
“I have said young people 6 to be exact, they lost their lives yesterday, very unfortunately they shouldn’t have lost their lives and I have said it is a very unfortunate situation and wish that would not have happened.
There’s a frame work that will make sure that those 6 Kenyans who died yesterday will be accounted for.” President Ruto said.

These are people who were shot dead while protesting against the 2024 Finance Bill.
He also sent condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones during protests.
