Chaos countrywide as Protestors remove president Ruto’s banner in Kericho County

#Reject the Finance Bill is the trending number one hashtag currently in Nairobi, Kenya.

Chaos have erupted in the country as the public is against the newly proposed 2024 Finance Bill, despite it going through a few amendments.

Many woke up earlier today, protesting and wanting their voice to be heard while marching on the streets carrying banners rejecting the Finance Bill. Other citizens in Kericho decided to make their point by bringing down President Ruto’s banner, showing that they are very annoyed with the way he is ruling the country.

The country is currently in chaos as many are marching on the streets, rejecting the Finance Bill.

There are more than 10 counties that are taking part in these demonstrations, and they have said they won’t relent until their plea is heard.

Even though President Ruto responded back days ago, saying that he has heard the people’s plea and will ensure they sit down and have a talk to see how they can make the country great, they still are on the streets rejecting the Finance Bill not wanting to be apart of it.

We have heard your issues, and we can work together as a nation.

I am very proud of our young people; they have stepped forward tribeless and peaceful, and I want to tell them we are going to engage them and have a conversation so that together we can build a greater nation
