Peter Salasya might be risking it all by supporting ongoing protests on Finance Bill 2024.
Having been chosen by the youths to ‘steal and run away’ with the Bill, Salasya has become a friend of the Gen Z hence securing himself a place in their hearts come 2027 when he will need them for the General elections.
Judging from his social media posts it’s also evident that of late he has been on the forefront pushing against the Bill and with this, chances are that he may not get the old favors he was getting from the govt now that he betrayed them.

However to prove that he stands with the Youths, Salasya on Monday, 24th June issued a short statement asking the president to drop the Finance Bill 2024 as Gen Z’s are not about to step down either.
Kimekuramba my friend. Youths don’t want a conversation they want the finance bill be rejected with no amendments. They dont have a leader you can bribe. Salasya wrote on Instagram, adding;
Ruto please listen the fear from youths have gone. Tell your zombies of kenya kwanza mps to cancel the 3rd reading of the finance bill. Am the most honest person who who understands this young people.
Salasya’s statement comes just a few hours to long awaited protests planned by Gen Z ahead of the 3rd reading of the finance bill.
