Comedian MC Jessy has opened up on his decision on the ongoing conversation about the finance bill.
Pressure has been mounted on several celebrities on their opinion about the finance bill.
The jester was among the celebrities who were tardy in sharing their opinion on the finance bill.
He recently replied to musician Khaligraph, who was inquisitive about his opinion.
@khaligraphjones my brother, it’s true. I campaigned for this government openly. I was on the forefront in celebration when William ruto won. Even video evidences are there. At that time, I was very hopeful in his administration. I knew my agenda of the creative economy would be achieved. Our CS for Creative hasn’t done what is needful for the creatives. And he knows that very well. Am also tired of just talks and promises. Therefore even if in 2022 I supported the administration, it does not mean that I remain supporting their decisions when they are opppressing all of us. I am in support of the change we need as a people.
He further made his stance on the finance bill.
”Ungenivotia nikue bunge ungeuliza kama nili vote. Kwa sasa tuongee mambo ya rejectfinancebill2024.”
The fate of the finance bill is yet to be known as more Kenyans promise to turn up in the upcoming demonstrations set for tomorrow.
