‘It was a woman’s idea, not mine’-Pastor Kanyari explains who came up with ‘310’ con game

In a recent video circulating online, Pastor Kanyari has shed light on the origin of his controversial KSh 310 offering. According to him, the idea wasn’t his own, but rather a suggestion from his former lady secretary.

Kanyari explains that the church experimented with different offering amounts, such as KSh 500, KSh 1000, and KSh 700, but without much success.

However, when they settled on KSh 310, donations surged, exceeding KSh 1 million in a single day. This prompted his secretary to recommend sticking with that specific amount.

“It wasn’t me,” Kanyari clarified. “We tried other amounts, but it wasn’t until we asked for KSh 310 that things changed.”

He acknowledges the lasting impact of the secretary’s advice, crediting her for his current lifestyle. He emphasizes the importance of appreciating those who offer guidance and support.

The video also touches upon a past scandal surrounding the KSh 310 offering, which resulted in significant losses for Kanyari. He mentions facing accusations of fraud, losing his marriage and congregation, and being left with only his parents’ unwavering support.

Kanyari lost his ex-wife Betty Bayo to another man after the scandal. He is currently staying with the children they sired with Bayo. Despite being hopeful that his marriage will be re-kindled, Betty Bayo killed his hopes by posting her current man.
