Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika stated during an Instagram Q&A that she’s done with marriage. While fans encouraged her to follow in the footsteps of fellow socialite Zari Hassan who recently married, Vera made it clear marriage isn’t in the cards for her.
Responding to a fan’s comment about settling down like Zari, Vera acknowledged Zari’s happiness but stated, “Good for her. I tried. It’s not for me.”
Vera, known for her curves, ended her own marriage to co-parent Brown Mauzo in 2023. The couple had married in 2020.
Vera’s views on marriage differ sharply from Zari’s. Zari and her partner Shakib Cham Lutaaya had been dating for over a year before their South African wedding in October 2023.
Several days ago, Vera surprised many by throwing a “divorce party” to celebrate her split from Mauzo. She called marriage “the biggest scam ever” on her social media.
With her friends in tow, Vera celebrated the divorce lavishly as some of her fans cheered her on. Although she has given up on marriage, she co-parents with her baby daddy Brown Mauzo to take care of their 2 kids.
