Kenyan artist Kevin Kioko Bahati has exposed how his wife, Diana Marua, betrayed him during the election period.
Speaking during the launch of their reality show at Westwood in Nairobi, Kenya, Bahati said that back then, when vying for his political seat in Mathare, his wife turned on him because she directly told him that she was going to vote for another party different from the one that the husband was using in running for his Member of Parliament seat.
“My wife, here we went to vote with her in Mathare akaniambia mimi babe napigia William Samoei Ruto na nimesimama na Azimio, your excellency.” Bahati disclosed.
He, however, thanked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for embracing him back despite having vied for a seat with a different party.
“Your excellency, mimi na hizo wimbo zangu zenye Jalas anasema popote utakua unaenda, I will be there and perform; we will stand and walk with you in every step of the way because umetuheshimisha.” Bahati promised Deputy President Gachagua.

How Bahati Lost the Parliamentary seat
Bahati finished third in a race to become Mathare MP after garnering 8,166 votes against the winner Anthony Oluoch who managed 28,098 votes.
UDA’s Bilian Ojiwa came second after securing 16,912 votes.
The ‘Sweet Love’ hitmaker however neve agreed with the results at that time believing he had won the Mathare seat and was only waiting for IEBC to declare him the winner.
“Three days since voting happened 21 ballot boxes were tampered with. I have been waiting to be declared the winner and to be handed over the official certificate as the Mathare MP-elect,” Bahati wrote.
After some time he made peace with the fact that he had lost the seat and hinted that he might just try again come the year 2027 only that this time he will try vying for the Gubernatorial seat.
