Turning over a new leaf
Marking this new chapter, Wambo has shaved her head and adopted new social media accounts. Appearing on the Mungai Eve show, she declared, “It’s a whole new me. Manzi wa Kibera was another whole…nilifika mahali sikuipenda” (That took me to a place I didn’t like).
Wambo emphasizes a desire to move beyond past actions perceived as “clout chasing.” She believes her new look will attract brand deals, stating, “singoeoka, nilikuwa na jokes mob” (I won’t struggle, I used to have a bad reputation).
Wambo also confirmed rumors of having a child, expressing a desire to reveal them at the right time.
Looking back on her five years in the social media spotlight, Wambo acknowledges missed opportunities for positive growth. She says, “The fame and the money hazipelekani (they don’t last). Right now I am trying to clean my brand, to stop twerking, socialite siezi kosa kukuwa (being a socialite doesn’t mean lacking class). I’m trying to be a bigger socialite with a clean brand.”
Wambo hints at future endeavors like event hosting, suggesting a more professional direction for her online presence.
