Jackie said the reason she chose to air it on her YouTube channel was because nobody really was interested in wanting to buy the script, which is why she resorted to creating her own slot.

We tried to push when it was just a script and a proposal, but clearly no one accepted us, so we decided to create our own slot thus my YouTube channel, and I think for me we are okay ni poa tukiwa hapo. If people want to buy, if other stations want to buy it well and good, but I feel I am okay.” Jackie explained.

No Regrets

She, however, said she doesn’t feel bad that her script wasn’t taken in, as her uploading the show to her YouTube channel has come in plenty because many people get to watch it.

I am okay because with YouTube, nafikia hadi watu wetu wa Diaspora wana watch, and other countries are watching and seeing that Kenya has amazing talent.” Jackie shared.

Responding to how much she might sell the show, she said she hasn’t decided yet and will need to consult with her entire team, and at the moment she hasn’t decided yet.

Why She had a hard time selling her show

She talked about why it was hard for her to sign a deal with other companies, saying it was because she was a producer and people hardly believed in her, and having beat all odds now, she is now willing to sit down at any corporate or TV station.

Watu wananiaminia kama actor, but as a producer, they are hesitant… It is like when you start something new, everyone has lazima ajishuku, and I have no hard feelings for anyone. I had to prove myself, and here I am with big numbers on YouTube.

I am willing to sit down with any corporate or TV station that wants to
.” Jackie shared
