Fans share hilarious reactions to Karen Nyamu’s opinion on the proposed finance bill

Published on

Most Kenyans have a tentative opinion on the proposed 2024 Financial Bill, which is set to take place this year only if it will be passed.

Karen Nyamu recently shared her sentiments on the same; but not all Kenyans were pleased by her opinion.

According to Nyamu, the financial bill is only set to tax the rich people, which is definitely not the case.

The Bill proposes various changes to the Income Tax Act (ITA), the VAT Act, 2013 (VAT Act), Excise Duty Act, Tax Procedures Act, 2015 (TPA), and the Miscellaneous Fees and Levies Act among other non-tax statutes.

All the proposed changes will be effective 1 July 2024 unless stated otherwise. These measures are expected to impact differently on businesses, sectors as well as individuals. Thus, affected businesses, sectors and individuals should consult with their tax advisors on how these measures impact them.

After Nyamu’s reaction to the same, netizens were not tardy to share their response to Nyamu’s sentiments. Below are screenshots of their reactions;
