Kenyan music legend Nameless has revealed how he coaches his children to deal with online trolls.
Speaking to our very own journalist Silvakido, Nameless opened up, saying that he is very protective of his kids and chooses what they should see and what they shouldn’t in a rightful way without lifting fingers.
“Even for me, as for my family, I am very protective, even with our kids. It is like we are a public figure. We do a lot of coaching with our kids.
I have to keep telling them and understand things like hate and that not everyone wants good for you, even when I am not there. They understand that life.” Nameless shared.
He goes on saying that he has made his children understand that their father is a public figure, and that comes with a lot of challenges as there are those who might be hating on him.
Even so, he says he controls his children’s social media accounts and is able to filter the information they are to see as well as shun out the negative information or individuals trying to criticize them.
“Of course all their accounts ziko kwa simu yangu na simu ya mamake, so we see whatever it is that is happening, and to use the phone, she asks me for it, and all these we made her aware of, and we tell her that this monitoring we are doing is for your own good. We are like your coaches.” Nameless shared.

Nameless on Parenting
The father of three believes that parents are the coaches of their children, and they are entirely responsible for what their children will become later in life because they are the ones that watch them grow.
“Parenting is like being a coach; you have to coach someone’s life; social media is their life; that’s part of their life; you have to start going with them, kama umemshikilia. That’s why, nikienda na yeye kama nimemprepare, let’s be ready for the best-case scenario and the worst-case scenario.” Nameless shared.
He urged parents to train their children to be able to handle public criticism because, at some point in life, they may be subject to such things, and training them in advance will help them not fall into depression.
“Train your children to be able to handle the positives and the negatives. It is very important because you cannot overprotect someone, mpaka hawezi handle, when something like hate comes.” Nameless shared.
