Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has also come to the rescue of media personality Kimani Mbugua, who is set to undergo rehabilitation for a year.
Sonko, revealed in a recent interview with Obinna about his readiness to help the young journalist get back to his feet.
He also mentioned that he was willing to transfer Mbugua to a Mombasa hospital, where legendary female boxer Congestina is located.
“I can pay the bill at Mathare, and then we can transfer him to where Conjestina is currently at Mombasa Women’s Hospital. There are even male patients there; it’s a rehab. They have professional doctors, very good doctors. I will pay the Mathare bill and cover his costs there,” Sonko started off.
He further explained that he consulted with Kimani’s parents.
“In consultation with Kimani Mbugua’s parents, I will pay his bill at Mathare Hospital and transfer him to the Mombasa Women’s Hospital rehab center. Currently, Conjestina Achieng is still there and doing well,” Mike wrote.
Obinna & Sonko to the rescue
Kimani Mbugua has received numerous help from well-wishers after they realized his mental health was in danger.
On the frontline was comedian Oga Obinna, who spearheaded a fundraiser for Kimani. Having raised over half a million to cater for Kimani’s fees, Mike Sonko happens to be a great addition for covering the cost that will be incurred by Kimani’s bill.
