Heavy rains have caused widespread devastation in Kenya, prompting both celebrities and the government to take action.
Musician and former MP Charles “Jaguar” Njagua has commended comedian Eric Omondi’s initiative, “Sisi Kwa Sisi,” which provides aid to people affected by the floods. While acknowledging Omondi’s efforts, Jaguar emphasizes the need for collaboration in tackling such a large-scale disaster.
“Eric’s work is commendable, but the situation demands a unified approach,” Jaguar said. “Despite any differences, working with the government can significantly amplify the impact of relief efforts.”
Omondi, however, expresses a lack of trust in the government’s response time. He has announced a unique initiative called “Noah’s Ark.” This motorized vessel, built by skilled carpenters, aims to reach remote areas quickly and deliver essential supplies like food, clothing, and medicine.

Omondi’s dedication is evident in his recent trip to the Athi River region, where he documented video rescues of people trapped in flooded homes. He highlights the urgency of the situation, stating, “Hundreds are still in need, including children. Time is critical.”
Omondi has temporarily halted his entertainment career to focus on providing humanitarian aid during this crisis.
