Rapper Nazizi is preparing for her emotional return to the stage on Thursday, May 2nd in Diani. This will be her first public appearance since the tragic loss of her son, Jazeel, in December 2023.
Taking to her Instagram, Nazizi explained that it was never her wish to come out as the death of her son immensely affected her.

Nazizi affected by son’s death
She described the past five months as incredibly difficult.
In March, Nazizi shared the pain of her birthday, highlighting the absence of both her son and her brother, Firoz, who passed away in 2006. A portrait depicting them together offered a glimpse of her attempt to find solace in their shared presence.
“Pray for me as I make my first public appearance in Diani next week. Need all the strength for this. As much as I just want to disappear and never come out, its going on five months,” she wrote.
Nazizi’s message reflects the profound impact these losses have had on her life. She bravely opens up about her struggles, seeking support from her fans as she embarks on this emotional performance.
The legendary musician has been among those who graced the Kenyan industry for a long time and still remain to be sought after. Kenyans are looking forward to Nazizi’s first appearance.
