Several parts of the world have experienced floods with the ongoing rainfall that has swept property worth millions.
The worst floods were recently experienced in Dubai, where numerous homes were damaged.
While drainage systems remain a concern to netizens, some have decided to relocate to higher grounds for their own safety.
Netizens have taken to social media to share videos and photos of their home areas while asking the government to intervene.

Most of the videos on X (Twitter) in particular have shown the great impact of the rains.
Below are some of the areas which have been affected;
Mathare– While the area has been prone to flooding in recent years, nothing has been done to curb the flooding.
Kahawa Sukari– Residents at Kahawa Sukari along Thika Road have been stranded as a significant part of the highway has been flooded, leading to cars being re-directed.
River Athi– The raging river bust its banks, leading to houses being flooded and the roads being impassable.
Juja– The area has not been prone to flooding for years, but this time, residents camped on rooftops as a result of the rains flooding their houses and business places.
Other areas that have been affected include, Namanga, Machakos & Nyamira, where a building collapsed, burrying countless people.
Netizens believe this is just the beginning of the El Nino rains, and have been urged to brace themselves for more heavy rains.
